Ratledge, a former Georgia offensive guard who was a second-round pick by Detroit in April, is one of 30 second-round picks who have yet to sign their rookie contract and could hold out to begin training camp, which is set to begin around the league later this month.

The Detroit Lions have made an addition to their cornerback room. On Friday, the Lions signed cornerback Tyson Russell. The move comes just one day prior to the veteran report date for the team.

The Lions placed Frank Ragnow on the reserve/retire list Wednesday, a little more than a month after Ragnow announced his retirement after 7 seasons.
