A new mock draft from The Athletic has the Patriots taking a top prospect — albeit one with injury woes — in Abdul Carter at No. 4.

That’s very noteworthy when it comes to the Patriots. Entering this draft, left tackle is by far the team’s biggest need. They’re coming off a season where the Patriots allowed 52 total sacks. That’s the sixth most in franchise history and the most allowed in New England since the 1999 Patriots.

Ozzy Trapilo (Boston College): Despite his 6-foot-8, 316-pound frame, Trapilo moves well out of his stance which allows him to obtain control as both a pass protector and run blocker.
