The New York Yankees have activated infielder DJ LeMahieu off the injured list to make his season debut, the team announced Tuesday. In a corresponding move, Oswaldo Cabrera landed on the IL with a fractured ankle.

Trying to reach home plate after a sacrifice fly from Aaron Judge, Yankees utility man Oswaldo Cabrera dodged a tag, planted his foot to change direction and suffered an ankle injury that saw him carted off the field and taken to a nearby hospital.

A's first baseman Nick Kurtz flipped the ball to McFarland, and the lefty awkwardly hobbled off the bag following the play.
