Joe Khan will become the first-ever Democrat to serve as Bucks County district attorney, and Danny Ceisler will take over as sheriff for the Philadelphia suburb.

The hotly contested Bucks County races centered around some of the most contentious issues in national politics – Trump, crime and immigration.

In addition to their wins in the sheriff and DA races, the Democrats swept three other Bucks County row officer positions. Here are the results:

Bucks County, Pennsylvania, will have a new district attorney next year after Democratic challenger Joe Khan defeated Republican incumbent Jennifer Schorn Tuesday night. With 100% of precincts reporting, Khan was leading with about 54% of the votes to Schorn's roughly 46%, county election results show.

Ceisler defeated incumbent Sheriff Fred Harran, promising to end an agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement the Republican signed this year.

Democratic challenger Danny Ceisler ousted Bucks County Sheriff Fred Harran in a race largely centered around Bucks County’s relationship with ICE.

The holiday season takes center stage at Bucks County Playhouse as “ Elf: The Musical ” opens Nov. 21 in New Hope. The stage favorite, inspired by the 2003 movie, tells the story of Buddy the Elf’s adventure from the North Pole to New York City in search of belonging and a little holiday magic.

After turning red in support of President Donald Trump in 2024, a majority of Bucks Co. voters supported Democratic candidates on Election Night 2025.
