Sunday's Guardians-Astros game is officially in a rain delay for the time being. The Guardians clinched their spot in the playoffs Thursday and then secured the American League Central crown over the weekend in St. Louis. It's the first calendar year since 1995 in which all three major Cleveland sports teams will play a playoff game.

The Cleveland Guardians were scheduled to play the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon to close out the 2024 regular season. However, the game was canceled after a three-hour delay, due to inclement weather in Cleveland.

The Guardians are locked into the No. 2 spot in the American League playoffs, though they still away their potential opponent in the ALDS. Sunday's game, though, is in danger of being rained out, as both teams are locked into their current seeds (Guardians 2, Astros 3). Rain is in the forecast, and it's only getting worse.
