Delhi High Court on Monday stayed the trial court order against the discharge of former cricketer Gautam Gambhir in a case of cheating with home buyers, news agency ANI reported. The magistrate court had discharged Gautam Gambhir, however, the session court had set aside the said order, the agency added.

Gambhir approached the Delhi High Court to challenge the sessions court’s decision. Represented by Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi, Gambhir argued that he had no direct dealings with the homebuyers in his capacity as Rudra’s additional director.
