Workers inside a plastics factory in Tennessee say they narrowly escaped after flooding from Hurricane Helene.

A devastating flood struck an East Tennessee plastics manufacturing plant during Hurricane Helene, resulting in multiple employees being missing or deceased.

Impact Plastics made employees come in to work on Friday morning despite the imminent threat of flooding from Helene and kept them there as the nearby Nolichuky River overflowed its banks and inundated the plant.

As the rain from Hurricane Helene came down harder and harder, workers inside a plastics factory in rural Tennessee kept working. It wasn't until water flooded into the parking lot and the power went out that the plant shut down and sent workers home.
