MLB Draft has completed the first 10 rounds and Mississippi State fans should be happy.Very happy.As previously noted, it’s rare for a player drafted in the first 10 rounds doesn’t sign a professional contract.

Jacob Parker is the twin brother of JoJo Parker, who was the 8th overall pick of day 1. It was anticipated that Jacob would be selected early in the draft, but in a turn of events, his future became less clear as the rounds went on. Arizona picked him up in round 19.

Heading into the 2025 MLB Draft, it was like any year for Mississippi State where survival was the name of the game. Head coach Brian O’Connor’s ultimate goal was to keep as many talented signees, transfers and current roster players as possible.

The Bulldogs' baseball program didn't experience any surprises in the first four rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft and that's a good thing for the team's fans.
