Family and friends of Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother are gathering at a chapel where their bodies have been brought for a wake.

The death of forward at the age of 28 has jolted the world of football, with messages pouring in from former teammates, clubs, national leaders and fans.

Oasis paid tribute to Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, who this week died in a car accident, at their first reunion show. The Manchester band, led by Liam and Noel Gallagher, kicked off their tour at Cardiff ’s Principality Stadium on Friday (4 July), one day after Jota was found dead with his brother, Andre Silver, in the Spanish city of Zamora.
