Cracker Barrel debuted a new logo earlier this week, which removed the iconic image of a man leaning on a barrel, a defining part of the restaurant chain’s identity since 1977. The logo leaves only the name of the restaurant chain — marking the first time in 48 years that it only features text.

Caroline Downey, a columnist for the conservative National Review, said Thursday that conservatives themselves are to blame for the word “woke” losing its meaning.
