The Cleveland Guardians' calling card for the past few seasons has been their dominant pitching, and that’s exactly what propelled them to a 3-2, series-clinching win over the New York Mets on Tuesday evening.

Steven Kwan singled home the tiebreaking run with two outs in the seventh inning, and the Cleveland Guardians beat the slumping New York Mets 3-2.

The Guardians used their A team relievers on Monday night to beat the Mets in 10 innings, 7-6. They went with the B team Tuesday night and these guys should be in line for a promotion.

The Mets did not record a run after the second inning and did not record a hit after the fourth in what became a 3-2 loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

But there wasn’t much offense of any kind to go around as the Mets fell, 3-2, to the Cleveland Guardians for their seventh loss in eight games. The Mets went scoreless after the second inning and didn’t manage a hit after the fourth, with Cleveland retiring the Mets’ final 14 batters to clinch a series victory.
