With few exceptions, the updates all leverage AI in an effort to create a more personalized and powerful experience for users.

Bing, the other service for which Microsoft introduced new AI features today, is receiving a capability similar to Think Deeper. It’s accessible through a new “Deep search” button on the search results page. Selecting the option configures Bing to generate detailed natural language response to user questions.

Microsoft announced it is now rolling out the Bing generative search experience and to more sets of informational queries. Also, Bing updated its Deep Search saying it is faster and powered by GPT-4o and some in-house distilled models.

A few months ago, Google’s AI Overviews were all over the news for their inaccurate and, often comical results. This is something that the company is working on fixing, but other companies might be on the way to providing a proper alternative.
