Opera has filed its anti-competition complaint in Brazil and says Microsoft is using ‘manipulative design tactics.’

BRUSSELS (Reuters) -Norwegian browser maker Opera will file a complaint about U.S. tech giant Microsoft to Brazilian antitrust authority CADE on Tuesday for allegedly giving its Edge browser an unfair advantage over rivals.

Microsoft has quietly started rolling out a new ‘Copilot-first’ experience for Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 (and Windows 10 for as long as it’s supported). Copilot mode is now turned on by default, and it replaces the traditional New Tab Page, which had links to most visited sites and MSN (if the feature was turned on).

Microsoft Edge’s menu has grown so long it doesn’t fit on most laptop screens — and there’s no built-in way to customize or clean it up.
