NHL insider Darren Dreger says Toronto Maple Leafs forwards David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok are trade candidates ahead of the season.

Meanwhile, Kampf began his NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks after going undrafted. After four seasons in the Windy City, he signed a two-year deal with Toronto in late July of 2021; he opted to re-sign with the Leafs with a four-year, $9.6 million extension with a cap hit of $2.4 million.

"The Leafs are also believed to be willing to take trade inquiries on veteran forward Calle Jarnkrok, who has a 10-team no-trade list and is under contract through the end of next season," The Fourth Period reported.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will have some salary cap juggling to do before the season starts. They may also be active at the trade deadline, both if they want to add or if they want to dump (depending on where they sit in the standings).
