Oscar Meyer Weinermobiles are taking on the Indy 500. Yes, this is a real race
The 2025 Indy 500 will take place on Sunday, May 25 at 12:25 EDT. There will be six Wienermobiles participating in the race, each representing a different region of the United States. The six competitors include the Chi Dog (Midwest), New York Dog (East), Slaw Dog (Southeast), Sonoran Dog (Southwest), Chili Dog (South) and Seattle Dog (Northwest).
Just ahead of this year's Indianapolis 500, there's a new race that fans are already relishing: The Wienie 500.
Josef Newgarden and Team Penske (photo) won the Oscar Mayer $150,000 Pit Stop Challenge last year en route to a second consecutive Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge victory.
