While the reason for the crash is still not known, senior police officers said a dense fog in the area may have led to the accident

The helicopter, an Agusta A109S Grand (VTEVV), belonging to Delhi-based Heritage Aviation, took off from the Oxford Golf Course helipad in Pune and was headed for Juhu in Mumbai, an official said. The helicopter crashed near the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory around 7 a.m.

The helicopter was carrying three people on board - two pilots, Paramjit Singh and G K Pillai, and one engineer, Pritam Bharadwaj. “When we reached the spot, we saw that the chopper had crashed and all its parts had scattered.
