Chantal brought heavy, flooding rain and dangerous beach conditions to the Carolinas over the weekend, setting off dangerous flash flooding Sunday in central parts of North Carolina.

Tropical Storm Chantal has been downgraded to a tropical depression but is raising concerns of flash flooding in central North Carolina and south-central Virginia.

The heaviest rain from Tropical Storm Chantal is expected in North Carolina on Sunday, then across eastern Virginia, Southern Maryland and Delaware on Monday.
