NEW YORK (AP) — The music streaming service Spotify was down temporarily on Sunday, leaving thousands of listeners without access to tunes and podcasts. More than 40,000 people reported outages with the music platform on downdetector.com, a website that allows users to report problems with popular apps and services.

Just after 11 a.m. ET Sunday, over 12,000 people reported on Downdetector that Spotify was not working properly. Reports of an outage impacting both the app and the website kept climbing and exceeded 40,000 shortly after noon. Users on social media said songs would not play past a couple of seconds.

Audio streaming platform Spotify was back up after an approximate three-hour-long outage on Sunday, which at its peak impacted more than 40,000 users in the U.S., according to Downdetector.com.
