The upcoming Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars, recently received a major update. The news comes by way of Captain America: Brave New World star Anthony Mackie, who offered some insight into the production process and hinted at who might appear alongside him.

The Twisted Metal star recently disclosed why the cowl was removed from his Captain America costume in Captain America 4. In an interview with IGN, the host asked Anthony Mackie about why Marvel Studios decided to remove the “white half-helmet look.” He told the outlet that the cowl was removed because of his request.

Four years after the release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier — which saw Anthony Mackie ‘s Sam Wilson struggling with the title bestowed on him by Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers — the star says Marvel’s latest offering finds the character as “full-fledged Captain America .”
