South Florida was in the midst of its deepest cold snap in more than a decade on Sunday morning, with temperatures in the mid-30s and wind chills in the mid-20s.
The last reported snow in the city was on Jan. 19, 1977.
With freeze warnings in effect for parts of the region, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties reported daily record low temperatures early Sunday morning.
