Much of the time, designers name the link using text that already exists in the slide. To rename a link, use PowerPoint's Insert Hyperlink dialog box.

Launch PowerPoint, if you haven't already, and open the slide show in which you want to insert the hyperlink. Click to select an object or click and drag to highlight text for the link.
