NBC 5 Chicago (WMAQ-TV) has announced six-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and popular, veteran Chicago media personality Lou Canellis will join the NBC 5 News team as its main sports anchor beginning today,

Canellis will be part of the NBC 5 newscasts in the late afternoon and evening Monday-Thursday, as well as Sunday, when he also will host “Sports Sunday.” His first day on the air will be Sunday.
