1 killed in shooting near Oakland flea market
Oakland police are investigating a fatal shooting reported just before noon Friday in the 5400 block of Coliseum Way near the Oakland Coliseum Flea Market. Officers found a victim with gunshot wounds at the scene; the victim was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The committee voted unanimously to send the nominations to the City Council’s Jan. 20 meeting, according to the City of Oakland. The move puts a resolution in front of the full council that would formally confirm the mayor’s choices for the Police Commission.
