A group representing poultry farmers in Germany is pushing for greater protection of their flocks as bird flu spreads rapidly across the country.

Avian flu control measures covering a 3km (1.9 mile) zone were put in place near Stockbridge An exclusion zone set up to contain bird flu has been revoked after no further cases were detected.

In total, 15 out of 27 European Union countries have recorded bird flu outbreaks on farms so far this season.
