Gubernatorial candidates meet for first joint forum focused on tech and the economy
A majority of the declared candidates for Wisconsin governor appeared for their first joint forum Thursday, hosted by the Wisconsin Technology Council and focused on the economy and tech. WISN 12 News Political Director Matt Smith moderated the event.
For more than four decades, Wisconsin’s 7th U.S. House district was represented by former Democratic Congressman Dave Obey, who retired in 2011. The district was redrawn that year by Republican state lawmakers, and it’s been a reliably safe GOP seat ever since.
