This week is packed with full-circle moments for UConn women’s basketball star Azzi Fudd. On Monday, the redshirt senior played a complete game against Notre Dame for the first time in her college career after she was sidelined three of the last four years and exited the lone matchup she appeared in with a knee injury in 2022.

The UConn Huskies' 14-game win streak was tested as Villanova forced a dramatic finish in the Big East matchup.

The Huskies' victory marked the first time in 58 months — since March 3, 2021 — that Connecticut beat SHU on the road. And it did it in escape-route fashion in the final minute. UConn point guard Silas Demary Jr. sank two foul shots with less than 30 seconds remaining to put the Huskies up 67-64. The Rock was thumping.

On Monday, UConn scored an 85-47 win over rival Notre Dame, the largest margin of victory in the history of games between the two teams.
