American, Delta and United airlines offer refund options after FAA flight reduction
American Airlines issued a statement Thursday regarding the FAA decision, confirming the carrier will maintain normal operations. The airline noted it anticipates minimal impact on the majority of flights from the reduction, with international travel continuing as scheduled.
United Airlines will offer full refunds as the FAA is to cut 10 percent of flights at 40 "high-volume" markets.
“If you’re traveling during this period and do not wish to fly, you’re eligible for a refund — even if your flight isn’t impacted. That includes non-refundable tickets and Basic Economy tickets. For more information, see Travel Waivers ,” United wrote.
