The 751-foot CSX Coal bulk carrier exploded near Francis Scott Key bridge, which collapsed last year following a collision with another vessel.
Officials have reopened the channel connecting the Port of Baltimore to the Atlantic Ocean after closing it to protect vessels from a hatch cover that blew off a bulker in an explosion. The Port of Baltimore said on Tuesday afternoon that the Fort McHenry Federal Channel had been reopened.
