Southwest Airlines is revamping its fare bundles, introducing Choice Extra, Choice Preferred, Choice, and Basic options. Changes include new baggage fees and the end of open seating, starting in 2026.

Choice Extra fares qualify for same-day changes and same-day standby. Fares are refundable when canceled and flights can be changed at no extra charge other than the fare difference.
