The 'Star Wars' prop is part of a new big-ticket auction also featuring Sauron's helmet from 'Lord of the Rings.'

An auction this September will feature the lightsaber used by Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back. The prop is expected to fetch up to $3 million, the auction house estimates. Also going up for bid are Sauron’s helmet from The Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones’ belt, bullwhip and pistol holster from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The prop is believed to be the first of its kind to go on the market, as the other few lightsabers left from the original trilogy were instead cycled through museums.
