Denver police officials are providing updates on a shooting where an officer shot someone after responding to a call about fireworks on July 1 in the Montbello neighborhood.

D ENVER (KDVR) — Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Tuesday evening, according to a post on X from the Denver Police Department. The shooting occurred in the 2300 block of South Sherman Street. Police said that one person was transported to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Tayjahn Thomas, 23, was shot and killed in his home at the Renaissance at Lowry Boulevard apartment complex at 550 Alton Way on Tuesday, Denver police said.

DENVER — Two people were shot early Saturday morning, Denver police said. The shooting happened in the area of South Tejon Street and West Virginia Avenue, police said. That's in Denver's Athmar Park neighborhood. The victims were rushed to a hospital. Their conditions were not known.
