Officials said they searched the landfill after a video reportedly showed evidence suggesting the body might have made its way into a dumpster.

The remains of the missing 16-year-old boy were located in an Elk River landfill over the weekend. Anoka County officials provided an update Tuesday morning after announcing the remains of missing teenager Jordan “Manny” Collins, Jr. have been found.

After police found blood stains on the walls and floor of his apartment, a Columbia Heights man was charged with second-degree murder Wednesday in connection with the death of his 16-year-old son, Jordan “Manny” Collins Jr. His son’s body was found last month in a landfill.
