Marquez Valdes-Scantling scored on the Saints’ longest play of the year, finding the end zone for the third time in three games:

A week after he exploded with a 3-109-2 line, Marquez Valdes-Scantling took another catch to the house in the Saints' 35-14 win over the Browns. Similar to his Week 10 performance, MVS was seldom targeted but made the most of his opportunities.

The Saints newest receiver got his latest score with 12:53 remaining in the second quarter. With a third-and-1 on their own 29, quarterback Derek Carr faked a handoff to Alvin Kamara, rolled to his left and found Valdes-Scantling open in the middle of the field. He took off untouched for a 71-yard touchdown to put the Saints up 14-6.

The Saints eyed Valdes-Scantling as a speed threat when they signed him last month, one who could help offset Rashid Shaheed’s season-ending knee injury. And in his second game with the franchise, the seven-year veteran delivered.
