But in the early hours of Sunday, SpaceX is also preparing to launch its 33rd commercial resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) using its trusty Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft. The Dragon will be filled with more than 5,000 pounds of supplies for the crew aboard the ISS, which orbits around 250 miles above Earth.
SpaceX is set to launch the 10th test flight of its Starship rocket on Sunday — after its last three launches ended with the spacecraft exploding in the air.
On August 1, SpaceX launched its 11th crew rotation for NASA. The four will spend six to eight months on the International Space Station.
The mission will transit to the International Space Station over approximately 39 hours, a record for Crew Dragon docking time.
