Grocery store union UFCW Local says it has reached a tentative agreement with Safeway, ending the ongoing strike.

The union has been negotiating for a new contract with Safeway and parent company Albertsons since the old one expired in January. Talks have so far failed to produce a deal.

All Safeway stores in Colorado will remain open, but locations affected by the strike will operate with adjusted hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pharmacies will continue to remain open as usual.
