The Islanders and Max Tsyplakov did not get as far as arbitration. The two sides avoided the July 29 hearing date as Tsyplakov signed a two-year deal worth $2.25 million annually, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Friday.

The New York Islanders have signed Maxim Tsyplakov to a two-year contract. Last season, Tsyplakov scored 35 points (10 goals and 25 assists) in 77 games with the Islanders.

The Islanders have re-signed Maxim Tsyplakov to a contract extension in a deal that should benefit both sides.
