First-time users of Lyft can earn a one-time addition of 1,100 points toward their Rapid Rewards account, the companies announced Thursday.

The account will remain open even if a driver stops driving for Lyft. McNeil said that Lyft was motivated by drivers who raised concerns about high bank fees.
