Sonic Mania might look old-school, but its a totally new game. You play as one of three hyper-speed mascots — Sonic, Tails or Knuckles — sprinting through high-speed stages with various paths.

Basically what I'm saying is - Debug mode is in, you filthy cheats. There's also a bunch of other Sonic Mania cheats and unlockables for Mania Mode in both the original release and Plus.
