The Lions and the Los Angeles Chargers – their upcoming Hall of Fame Game opponent – are the earliest two teams to begin their full training camps. The two teams will face off on July 31 to start the NFL preseason. Head coach Dan Campbell was optimistic as he greeted media in his fifth year at the helm of the team.

Detroit Lions training camp kicked off its media access on Sunday morning. Under a cloudy sky with occasional spits of raindrops, the Lions took to the practice fields at the Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park.

The Detroit Lions welcome 2 new starters to their offensive line in Tate Ratledge and Christian Mahogany and will be without Taylor Decker till later.
