Rep. Tom Suozzi has endorsed former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the New York City mayoral race. Suozzi, a Democrat, represents New York’s 3rd Congressional District, which includes the towns of Oyster Bay and North Hempstead in Nassau County and several neighborhoods in eastern Queens.
The newspaper’s editorial board said Mamdani’s agenda “reads like a turbocharged version of Mr. de Blasio’s dismaying mayoralty.”
Early voting is underway ahead of next week’s primary day in New York City, and that often revives questions about how to cast your vote using the ranked choice system. Ranked choice voting is fairly new in the city.
Zohran Mamdani and Brad Lander, the highest-ranking progressive candidates in the race, endorsed each other Friday, one day after the final Democratic primary debate during which both attacked Cuomo.
