KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — An overnight Russian missile and drone bombardment of Ukraine killed 15 people and injured 156, local officials said Tuesday, with the main barrage demolishing a nine-story Kyiv apartment building in the deadliest attack on the capital this year.

Russian troops attacked Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, with a drone strike. As a result of the attack, a 63-year-old man was killed, says the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration,

It was the deadliest attack on the Ukrainian capital in almost a year, and came as Moscow has intensified air assaults on the city.
