A beloved program at a San Francisco elementary school is at risk of being cut, as federal funding reductions to AmeriCorps begin to affect education programs across the country.

All nine AmeriCorps members in Sitka were notified Friday that their positions were terminated effective immediately, along with those in three other Alaska programs.
