U.S. industrial production fell for a second straight month in October, continuing to be depressed by hurricanes and a strike by factory workers at Boeing , but a rebound is likely in November as the drag from these factors lifts.

Boeing says it will be several weeks before it fully resumes building passenger planes, as factory workers return following a strike that lasted nearly two months.

Industrial production fell 0.3% in October, held down by the Boeing strike and the impact of hurricanes Milton and Helene, the Federal Reserve reported Friday. The decline was in line with the forecast of economists surveyed by the Wall Street Journal.
