Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has admitted he has “sympathy” for Crystal Palace after their Europa League place was downgraded to the Conference League.

Crystal Palace said on Tuesday they are seeking legal advice on possible next steps after the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed the club's appeal against UEFA's decision to demote them from the Europa League to the Conference League.

The Premier League club had challenged the decision to drop them down to the Conference League for allegedly not complying with the governing body's multi-club ownership rules.
