Only a hit batter in the eighth inning separated Wood from a perfect game. Still, the timing could't have been any better as Wood closes out his Arkansas career and prepares for the MLB Draft on July 13.

Arkansas' Wood retired 21 straight in the longest MCWS perfect-game bid since 1999, striking out 19 in the first no-hitter at the event since 1960-watch history unfold.
