Guy E. House, 47, reportedly shot a state trooper during a traffic stop in Lexington Sunday morning before fleeing to a local church where he opened fire.
The Herald-Leader reported that House entered the church and demanded to see the mother of his three children. But he was told by one of Gumm’s other daughters, Star Rutherford, that she wasn’t there. Rutherford told the Herald-Leader that House then said: “Well, someone is gonna have to die then.”
Before fleeing to the church, House allegedly shot a Kentucky State Police trooper at about 11.35 a.m. on Sunday after being pulled over near Terminal Drive near Blue Grass Airport. The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Lexington Police Department.
