Those who have been fortunate enough to lock in a Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order will surely be counting down the days until the console arrives on June 5. Nintendo is laying the groundwork for its upcoming system with an update for the original Switch that adds support for a few key features.

Nintendo's new Switch software update, version 20.0.0, adds a few features you'll want to check out on the Switch 2's launch day, including the cross-console GameShare.

Here’s the full list of changes in Switch firmware version 20.0.0 which went live on April 29. In addition to adding virtual game cards, GameShare for Switch 2, and Switch 2 system transfers, the update also allows for save data from multiple games to be transferred simultaneously.
