The PGA Tour is back in Texas for the second time this year, this time at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson event at TPC Craig Ranch, where Taylor Pendrith is the defending champion. The overall purse is $9.9 million with the winner taking home $1.

Lightning in the area prompted a suspension of play Friday morning at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. The PGA Tour halted play in the second round at 9:46 a.m. at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. First-round leader Scottie Scheffler was 2 under through nine holes and 12 under for the tournament at the time.

Unfortunately, it could be a while before the second round of the PGA Tour's CJ Cup Byron Nelson resumes. While TPC Craig Ranch is usually an ideal location for a golf tournament in the spring, the weather hasn't been too kind to Texas this week.
