SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A U.S. Army sergeant accused of shooting five fellow soldiers at a Georgia base was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, aggravated assault and domestic violence as the Army revealed that one of the victims was the suspect’s romantic partner.

The Army brought initial charges of premeditated murder, assault and domestic violence against the soldier accused of the Aug. 6 shooting.

The Army on Tuesday charged the soldier accused of opening fire on his fellow troops last week at Fort Stewart, Ga., with 13 offenses including multiple counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
