Pooja Hegde has been confirmed as the female lead in Thalapathy 69, marking her second collaboration with Tamil superstar Vijay after their successful pairing in Beast.

Thalapathy 69 cast includes Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Priyamani, and Prakash Raj among others. H. Vinoth is the director and KVN Productions is funding the project.

Vijay, one of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema history, announced his entry into politics earlier this year by launching his political party called Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam.

The film will be directed by H. Vinoth, known for his previous works like Sathuranga Vettai, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimai, and Thunivu.
